Ascend Performance Materials, a leading fully integrated producer of nylon 6,6 resin, showed off its ability to provide cost-effective solutions across markets at the recently concluded Plastindia 2018. The company showcased its reliability of supply and the diversity of products made with its signature Vydyne® PA66, including cable ties, automotive engine compartment components and consumer and industrial products, especially cooking utensils.
Global demand for the company’s nylon 6,6 products continues to grow annually at around four percent. To stay ahead of demand, Ascend is increasing production capacity for polymers and intermediates by 10-15% this year. Ascend’s unique technology allows it to add capacity quickly and efficiently, without disrupting operations.
“We are committed to a continuous, reliable supply to our customers,” according to Virgile Rouyer, Ascend’s regional sales manager for India, noting that Ascend has added capacity along its value chain consistently. Since 2015, production has increased by 10-30%, depending on product. Rouyer points out that Ascend’s strategy of selling nylon 6,6 globally into almost every end-use market has given it an unparalleled understanding of the entire value chain.
Ascend's capacity expansions and distributor relationships enable the company to meet market demand with highly cost-effective products and solutions in the Indian market. At the exhibition, Ascend co-exhibited with Barnet India, its primary distributor in India.
