Assocomaplast is now Amaplast

Founded in 1960, Assocomaplast is a non-profit association representing about 165 important companies, Italian plastics and rubber machinery, ancillary equipment and molds manufacturers. On June 7, the assembly of members  approved a proposal to change the name from Assocomaplast to Amaplast.  

 

As pointed out by the Association President Alessandro Grassi: "In a renewal of logic, to further strengthen the image of our Association and the companies it represents, I proposed together with the Executive Council and the change of our name from Assocomaplast to Amaplast, which is shorter  and simpler to pronounce (especially for foreigners), despite the Acronym of (Associazione Macchine Plastica.)."  Mr Grassi serves as President of Amaplast up to 2019.

 

The Amaplast (abbreviated to AMP) has a new logo with green, white and red colors of the Italian flag.  The new name will be officially launched on June 12, 2017 at www.amaplast.org.
