CHINAPLAS 2018, which took place from April 24-27 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Hongqiao, Shanghai, recorded a total of 180,701 visitors who viewed the latest products and services from 4,000 exhibitors. The visitor registration is 16.38% higher than the 155,258 recorded in the 2017 edition in Guangzhou.
Touted as Asia's No. 1 and the world's No. 2 trade event for the plastics and rubber industry, CHINAPLAS refects the continued confidence of businesses in China's huge market given that most of its sectors are developing fast. The trade show focused on “Smart Manufacturing”, “Innovative Materials”, “Green Solutions” this year, and the large exhibition area at NECC that covered 400,000 sq.m. or 30% more than that of the 2016 edition of the show was filled with visitors who eagerly viewed the live demonstrations and discussed with exhibitors the latest technologies and materials for highly efficient production of plastic and rubber products.
Aside from the quantity of exhibitors, the quality of exhibition cannot be undermined as many exhibitors held their world premiere for their products at the trade show. The whole exhibition site consisted of 13 large exhibition halls and three small exhibition halls which provided ample space to exhibitors wanting to meet more buyers and visitors.
The next edition of CHINAPLAS is scheduled to take place on May 21-24, 2019 in Guangzhou, China.
