CHINAPLAS retains global status with 3,500+ exhibitors

 

CHINAPLAS returns to the China Import and Export Fair Complex, Pazhou, Guangzhou and is set to run from May 21 to May 24, 2019. The show, which focuses on a diverse range of topics and issues affecting plastics manufacturing, is a global event with 3,500 leading exhibitors from around the world. It is expected that CHINAPLAS 2019 will attract more than 180,000 professional visitors from 150 countries and regions during its 5-day run. 

 

Many of today’s pressing issues are being addressed by this world known exhibition through its concurrent events and highlights. Smart manufacturing technologies & equipment, green & circular solutions to plastics production, and innovative high-performance materials are being promoted by exhibitors occupying more than 250,000 square meters of exhibition space.

With the rapid promotion of electric, intelligent, networked and shared vehicles revolutionizing the automotive industry, CHINAPLAS 2019 introduces a a series of high-tech application solutions for that ever-evolving sector. To satisfy the need for green, energy-saving, and lightweight vehicles, the “Automobile and Rail Transit Lightweight Materials and Application Technology Seminar” and “Low VOCs Technology and Application for Automotive & Rail Transit Materials Seminar”  respectively focus on replacing steel with plastics, carbon fibres, fibre-reinforced composites, microcellular foam and thin-wall materials, and technical problems faced by Chinese and overseas manufacturers on lightweighting technology and VOCs from automotive interior. OEMs, representatives of the rail transit enterprises and well-known material manufacturers will be explaining the latest automotive designs, materials and manufacturing processes in detail, and government representatives will be invited to interpret their policy on promoting material application.

 

For the packaging industry, world-leading suppliers of green materials, major manufacturers of the flexible packaging industry and product brands are present in the forum “Innovative Development of Packaging Materials under the New Consumption Trend” where innovative development of functional packaging materials can respond to the new consumption trend.  The “2019 Flexible Plastic Packaging Technology Seminar (Guangzhou)” provides a platform for policy experts, technical experts of leading enterprises and representatives of end users to share about policies, new materials, new processes, and new equipment, serving as a bridge between the demand side and the supply side of technology. Prior to the opening of the exhibition, the “Plastics Recycling & Circular Economy Conference and Showcase” was held on May 20, 2019, with the themes of “Material Science for Sustainability”, “Recycling Technology” and “Environmental Packaging”, focusing on issues which participants in the industry are concerned with.   

 

In the medical field, the CHINAPLAS show organizer is holding the "Medical Plastics Forum", a prominent event that consists of multiple components –– "Medical Plastics Forum", "Medical Plastics Pop-up Kiosk", "Medical Plastics Guidebook" and "Medical Plastics Guided Tour".
