Siemens offers a complete range of products and solutions that support companies in their journey towards digitalization.
(L-R) Bisheng Liu and Tindaro Danze
Tindaro Danze, Vice President and Division Lead of Digital Factory and Process Drives, Siemens Vietnam, and Bisheng Liu, Vice President, Digital Factory Customer Services, ASEAN, Siemens Pte Ltd provided insights on the future of manufacturing in Vietnam and South East Asia, including more information on Siemens’ offerings to tackle challenges faced by customers in the region.
Bisheng said that in order for businesses to reap all the benefits of digitalization, having a Digital Enterprise, which entails a complete integration of the value chain from product design, production planning, production engineering, production execution and operational services, can effectively increase efficiency, enhance flexibility and reduce time-to-market of products.
Tindaro explained the company's recently launched Siemens ZerOne.DesIgn™ - Digital Factory Manufacturing Design Consultancy, which will propose effective technology improvements to help customers not only optimize their manufacturing processes, but also digitalize their assets and machineries to allow better management of operations on a facility-wide level. This consultancy is the first of its kind in the world, making Siemens the first technology player to offer technical consultancy to support manufacturers to structure and manage the digitalization of their facilities.
At the booth, Siemens also featured MindSphere, the cloud-based, open Internet-of-Things operating system that forms the foundation and fulfills an essential condition for data-based industrial services. An open cloud platform for industry applications, MindSphere allows customers to evaluate and utilize data in order to optimize the performance of their operating equipment to achieve maximum availability.
Siemens ZerOne.DesIgn™, Digital Factory Manufacturing Design Consultancy, is catered to customers in South East Asia. It is the first-of-its-kind for the controls and automation industry globally to offer such technical consultancy services to help companies achieve their Industrie 4.0 vision. Supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), this consultancy plugs a critical capability gap in the market, as while manufacturers, especially in markets like Singapore, are keen to digitalize their factories to remain competitive, many lack the knowledge and expertise of the smaller steps they can take to do so.
