Heat and Control showcases expertise at ProPak Asia

Heat and Control will bring their FastBack® Horizontal Motion conveyor system featuring the FastBack® Revolution® Proportional Gate 3.0 to ProPak Asia for the first time in 2019.

Conveying systems

The latest generation FastBack® Horizontal Motion conveyor system featuring the FastBack® Revolution® Proportional Gate 3.0 will be exhibited on booth BG11 this year. This FastBack gate system is the industry’s safest and only truly proportional gate, accurately proportioning product flow from distribution conveyors to the weighing and packaging station. The system significantly multiplies accuracy of the product stream to ensure consistent, continuous feed to the tumble drum.

Inspection systems

Also on display will be the very latest in metal detection technology from world-class manufacturer CEIA, leaders in metal detection systems to a wide range of industries, including food and pharmaceuticals. Their range of THS detectors identify both magnetic and nonmagnetic metals, including high-resistivity stainless steel.

Metal detection as part of the inspection process can occur at several points throughout a production line. The primary purpose is to identify ferrous (magnetic) and non-ferrous metal contaminants in your product such as aluminium, stainless steel, or even paint chips. This allows for quality control of the product and provides consumer protection.

Metal detection units also protect the machinery in your production line. The smallest metal particle could lead to machinery malfunction and result in loss of revenue due to production downtime to perform repairs and the cost of repairs. Although metal particles can be detected by other inspection systems, these systems are separated by their level of sensitivity.

Cutting edge technology has seen the invention of a multi-spectrum system. This latest generation metal detector is capable of eliminating false rejects without reducing sensitivity. Using proprietary multi-spectrum technology, it consistently detects smaller metal particles in difficult products like wet spinach, cheese, tortillas and ground beef.
