The global market and technology leader for the sawing and storage of metal bar stock will be presenting amongst other things the KASTOmicut A 2.6 automatic swing-frame band saw. It features high cutting accuracy and cutting quality for different materials and is excellent value for money.
The KASTOmicut A 2.6 is a versatile saw for the workshop, which, with its intelligent equipment, enables efficient and extensively unmanned operation. It is designed for cutting tubes, sections and solid materials to length and for mitre cutting. Its cutting range extends to 260 mm for round stock and 310 x 260 mm for flat stock. Mitre cuts are possible on both sides from -45 to +60 degrees. The mitre angle is continuously adjustable, as is the cutting speed, which can be set from 20 to 110 metres per minute. This opens up a wide range of possibilities for users and allows work with many different materials.
The blade tension of the KASTOmicut A 2.6 is electrically monitored and can be adjusted continuously by means of a hand ratchet. The saw blades are guided by means of mechanically pre-tensioned carbide metal slides. A quick-release device ensures rapid blade changing. The hydraulically actuated, continuous horizontal vices enable optimum workpiece clamping and the removal of short remnant pieces. An integral probe automatically detects the end of the material, thus obviating the need for manual pre-setting. The material feed also works automatically via a feed pincer with self-aligning bearings, servo motor and ball-screw spindle. This enables efficient operation with low manpower and short idle times.
The SmartControl saw machine controller, which is fitted as standard, makes for easy operation. All functions can be easily located using the colour touch panel and the intuitive, multi-lingual user guide. New sawing tasks can be entered conveniently and clearly by means of the order wizard. The ongoing process is visualised in detail, and the machine switches off automatically when the required quantity has been reached. The controller also offers extensive options for order and tool management.
