Krones names country head in Malaysia

Newly appointed country manager of Krones in Malaysia, Tiam Seong Yong will set up and lead the new subsidiary in Kuala Lumpur. Tiam Seong Yong has 20 years of sales and marketing management experience in world renowned packaging companies.

Krones, a leading manufacturer of beverage filling and packaging technology, has identified Malaysia as a high potential market for its products. With a team of dedicated service engineers and sales force, the company aims to increase its market share and proximity to customers in Malaysia.

Krones AG is a German packaging and bottling machine manufacturer and considered the world's leading manufacturer of lines for filling beverages in plastic and glass bottles or beverage cans. The company manufactures stretch blow-moulding machines for producing polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles, plus fillers, labellers, bottle washers, pasteurisers, inspectors, packers and palletisers. This product portfolio is complemented by material flow systems and process technology for producing beverages, plus syrup kitchens, for clients like breweries, dairies and soft-drink companies. Krones earned 3.69 million euro revenue in 2017, with stable growth of 10% in order intake. Revenues and performance are expected to increase further in 2018.
