"India is an important market and evolving very fast. I would say that about 90% of PLASCO's business in India is related to monofilament production lines, which is our main export in India," Mr. Wang explained. PLASCO's strong position in the global market is attributed to its continuous attention to product mprovement and R&D. As Mr. Wang put it: "We spent a lot on R&D and in developing many new applications where our monofilament lines can be maximised."

In India, PLASCO's reputation as a reliable supplier stems from recommendations of its existing customers. "Words get around fast, and in India we may not have direct distributor but only tie-ups with some agencies specialising in monofilament machineries. However, many of our existing customers recommend our production lines so in the process, we gain new customers," Mr. Wang added.
With the current policy to promote domestic production, PLASCO expects its sales in India to rise by as much as 30% in the next 2 years as local companies demand for advanced monofilament production lines to serve its growing domestic market for end-products. As a result, PLASCO will continue to promote its products and strengthen its response to Indian customers to meet their requirements.
