The Golcha Group has proven resources of over 35 millions tonnes of talc, which is considered one of the purest and most lamellar deposit in the world. As a talc mining/processing and marketing group based in India, the Golcha Group has the capacity of about 350,000 tonnes of talc every year from its mines in India, according to Dr. C.P. Gupta, Vice President (R&D) of Udaipur Mineral Development Syndicate Pvt. Ltd., which is part of the Golcha Group.
As a result of this huge capacity, the company can supply talc worldwide for various applications - cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, plastics, polymer, ceramic production. To date, Golcha has three plants in India and one in Thailand. In Thailand, it started production in 2009 but all raw materials come from the company's mine in India.

Talc is commonly used as filler to reinforce polypropylene, which is produced by injectin moulding automotive parts. In contrast, talc mixed with glass fibre is used to reinforce polyamides. In thermoplastic polymers, it reduces the susceptibility to creep under load. The talc reinforced PP significantly increase the rigidity, heat and abrasion resistance. As Dr. Gupta explained, the talc from Golcha is free from any biminirals, asbestos and crystalline silica.
With its production facility in Thailand, the company decided to participate at InterPlas Thailand to further expand its business in the country. The company also exports to other Asian countries such as Indonesia, China, Japan, Singapore, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Saudi Arabia. But Dr. Gupta said that Far East Asian countries is the biggest market accounting for about 40,000 tonnes every year.
