An entirely new waterjet system designed as a practical and flexible waterjet solution.

Flow International Corp.has released the Mach 200, an entirely new waterjet system designed as a practical and flexible waterjet solution. The newest addition to the Flow Mach Series features world-renowned Flow waterjet technology which is backed by industry-leading FlowCare premier service and support. The Mach 200 is specifically engineered to affordably meet waterjet applications from stone to carbon fiber.

With the Mach 200, Flow has introduced revolutionary new cutting head technology: Pivot+™ Waterjet for bevel cutting and taper control. Featuring the all new Pivot+ Waterjet cutting head, the Mach 200 provides capabilities not previously available on Flow’s economical Mach 2 waterjet systems. The modern electrical system improves reliability of the overall system. Latest generation FlowXpert® CAD/CAM software available with the Mach 200 is capable of designing complete 3D models and assemblies while simultaneously calculating optimum cutting paths. The Mach 200 is backed by FlowCare, Flow’s support and service offerings dedicated to improving customer uptime, and delivering programs that offer worry-free operation.

“Our team of engineers have designed a practical waterjet solution offering capabilities often reserved for elite waterjet systems at an incredible value,” says Jim Jenson, president of Flow. “Not only does the Mach 200 share key design features with our flagship Flow offerings, but the system is available with exciting new Flow cutting head technology. This new addition in our Mach Series family is our most economical waterjet system delivering our customers the latest technology from leading manufacturers of drive and control systems with tried and trusted genuine Flow technology and unparalleled FlowCare service.

The Mach 200 can be individually tailored to customer requirements. Well-suited for a wide spectrum of customers, the Mach 200 offers open table, 3-sided ease of access for loading and unloading of materials. A range of pump technologies and cutting heads are available. All pump models are connected via EtherCAT to enhance diagnostics and upgradeability. Pivot+ Waterjet, the optional, compact and agile bevel cutting head has been developed from the same technology as Flow’s premier 5-axis cutting solution Dynamic Waterjet® XD. Service and support packages can also be tailored to a customer's specific requirements. FlowCare programs are available at three levels of support with options including preventive maintenance programs, replacement programs for high-pressure components, prompt delivery of replacement parts, technical assistance and a comprehensive training and development program.

“Over the last 40 years, we have developed 12 generations of waterjet cutting systems. With each generation, we have further improved major components and achieved ongoing increases in accuracy and cutting efficiency,” continues Jenson. “Pivot+ is a highly competitive bevel and taper compensation cutting head that we are excited to be able to deliver at this price point. The unique design and capabilities of Pivot+ on our new Mach 200 systems will allow our customers to be more flexible with the work they take on.”

The Mach 200 will be making its North American debut at the FABTECH tradeshow, November 6-9, 2017 in Chicago, IL in booth A4824. Application specialists will be on hand to answer questions and demonstrate how Flow’s waterjet technology provides fast and highly accurate cutting across all of our systems.
