Robot inspires industrialists

Reed Tradex introduces the world’s most advanced artificial intelligence robot. The robot, Sophia, is one of the main highlights at the Manufacturing Expo to inspire robotics industrialists in Thailand. For the first time in the world, an artificial intelligence robot welcomes visitors and works alongside human in an exhibition. 

 

During the show, Dr. Somchai Harnhirun, Vice Minister for Industry, Ministry of Industry, Mr. Chiruit Isarangkun na Ayuthaya, Director of Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, and Mr. Isara Burintramart, Managing Director of Reed Tradex led the ceremony on Sophia’s appointment at Manufacturing Expo 2018, held on 20-23 June 2018, at BITEC in Bangkok.  

 

 

 

Mr. Isara Burintramart, Managing Director of Reed Tradex the organiser of International Conference and exhibitions and Manufacturing Expo 2018, ASEAN’s leading machinery and technology event for manufacturing and supporting industries, brought Hanson Robotics’ most advanced robot known as “Sophia” to the event. Sophia has the ability to communicate with human in the unique ways as well as to display over 60 facial expressions through her smart reactions. The patented nanotech skin called “Frubber” is the key to her humanlike expressions. 

 

Her presence at Manufacturing Expo 2018 is expected to significantly promote a strong support for Thailand’s robotics industry while introducing information about the show. She will also participate in one of the highlighted activities, introducing the latest technologies at Manufacturing Expo, which features over 2,452 brands from 46 countries.
