STEER to present intelligent compounding at CHINAPLAS 2017

Intelligent Compounding makes processing consistent, effective, efficient and scalable while ensuring high quality. It homogeneously mixes pigment and additives with base polymer and goes through the compounding process with clockwork precision - mixing, kneading, melting, venting and dispersing according to specific colour requirements. It effectively transforms ingredients to become more functional for stabilization to move the industry from Batch processing to Continuous processing effectively obtaining quality by design rather than by testing.

This patented design screw geometry eliminates shear peaks, is self-cleaning and ensures that energy is transferred uniformly to the materials being processed. STEER transformed co-rotating twin-screw extruders into a 21st century fully self-cleaning IC processors offering an opportunity to work on materials using precise application of forces that smear, elongate, re-orient, compress or fold material – kneading or stirring or shearing at specific zones of the processor.
