UBM to help promote Vietnam agro trade

Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and UBM Asia to design action plan that will further the country’s agricultural value chain management, processing, and global reach  

Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and trade show organiser UBM Asia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will help promote Vietnam’s agricultural sector

The agreement was signed by Mr. Dao Van Ho, Director of the Trade Promotion Center for Agriculture of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Mr. M Gandhi, Group Managing Director and Vice President of UBM Asia, in the presence of H.E. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister of Vietnam, at the Vietnam Singapore Enterprise Forum on 27th April 2018 in Fairmont Hotel, Singapore.

The MOU obliges the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam and UBM Asia to form a working group that will develop an action plan to enhance the country’s value chain management, processing, and trade with Vietnam.

Mr. Gandhi said "We are delighted to collaborate with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam. This MOU will pave the way to bring livestock and agriculture of Vietnam abroad. UBM will support and connect Vietnamese Enterprise to improve their capacity and technologies in processing and preserving for livestock and Aquaculture products".

"We are pleased that this MOU will also support on training to access market for small and medium enterprises, farms and cooperative and will promote and encourage Vietnamese livestock and food processing enterprises and their products to participate in UBM international events," Mr. Dao Van Ho said at the signing.
