Tekni-Plex presents high-performance, coated rollstock/lidding, non-phthalate PVC compounds at CMEF Shanghai

Tekni-Plex will feature performance material solutions for medical device packaging and components at the China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF), October 19-22, National Exhibition and Convention Centre, Shanghai, China, Hall 5.1 M60. These will include high-performance coated rollstock and lidding material, as well as non-phthalate PVC compounds.

Tekni-Plex’s coated product offerings meet a variety of demanding Class II and Class III medical device applications.  The company’s high-performance coated paper structures offer a cost-effective option, making them ideal for high-volume applications. The company also manufactures custom extrusion or adhesive laminations to suit a specific packaging application. Tekni-Plex’s coated structures can be sealed to Tekni-Plex’s PX films providing a total package solution.

While Tekni-Plex’s PVC compound solutions will continue to be the product of choice for most applications around the world, some healthcare systems are already implementing strategic initiatives for phthalate-free patient environments. The company’s team of expert chemists has developed a comprehensive portfolio of non-phthalate plasticised PVC compounds to meet a range of customers’ cost, regulatory and performance requirements.

“Tekni-Plex is pleased to bring these product offerings to the Asian marketplace. Our goal is to provide medical device and other healthcare companies with the latest in performance-driven packaging materials and compounds to help them meet their commercialization goals,” said Michael Luo, general manager, Tekni-Plex’s China operation.

Gary Liu, senior business development manager, will be speaking at CMEF’s 13th Seminar on Medical Plastics Applications, Innovation and Manufacturing Technologies seminar on October 20th. The topic is “Non-Phthalate PVC Compound Applications for Disposable Medical Device Products.”
