AMUT, a provider of extrusion lines, thermoforming solutions and plastic recycling lines and equipment in Italy, will showcase its products at Propak Vietnam 2015. Amongst its new equipment is a de-labeler machine that addresses the problem of shrinkable “sleeves” during PET bottle recycling.
The patent-pending, nonstop running machine removes all labels, including thermoretractable types, to prepare the bottles for high friction but nondestructive treatment. It can also remove the PVC film rings that seal the bottle caps during the delabeling process.
The de-labeler is designed to reduce the PVC and PETG pollution caused by labels. Its cutting elements feature a special design that allows the blades to be used on four sides prior to sharpening. Unlike in some machines, the cutting elements are bolted and not welded, allowing for easy replacement and reducing wearing of the machine, thereby cutting maintenance costs.
