Electropneumatics & Hydraulics (I) Pvt. Ltd has been on-foot the path of continuous focus on new product development over since its inception in 1972. The consistent efforts of the company have resulted in several products that have been counted among firsts in India.
The company headquarters and manufacturing facility near Pune, in the state of Maharashtra has acquired an enviable reputation for its electromechanical machine design and manufacturing capabilities in India. Electropneumatics started by developing and manufacturing pneumatic valves, as substitute to expensive imported ones. From this humble beginning, the company gradually climbed the ladder of innovation by introducing many special purpose machinery.
In an interview conducted by International Metalworking News for Asia (IMNA), Director - Production, Ms. Ingrid Rasquinha talked about the company's journey, market trends and future plans.

IMNA: Tell us about the company's metalworking history.
Rasquinha
: Electropneumatics was founded by my father, our current Managing Director and Chairman, Mr. Antony Rasquinha in 1972 with a team of five persons. His vision was to innovate and develop technologies that would benefit Indian industries- to do something that was not already being done here. So, he started by designing pneumatic valves, which then could only be imported at premium rates. From then, it has been a gradual, steady growth as Electropneumatics indigenously developed and added several other products for different metal forming applications. Today, besides the fluid power range of pneumatic valves and cylinders, hydraulic valves and power units, we make hydraulic presses, tube bending machines, honing machines, powder compacting presses, specialised metal forming machines, hydroforming presses and much more. Many have been 'first of its kind' in India. We are probably one of the few companies in India who use their own PLCs, CNC controls and servo drives. In fact, we even export them to Europe.
