2009年6月22至26日,塑料行业将迎来年度盛会?NPE(国际塑料展览会)。作为塑料行业的?#26228;雨表?#65292;本届NPE有何亮点呢?

The plastics world is looking forward to a bigger edition of The International Plastics Showcase or more popularly known as NPE09. The Plastics & Elastomers Exposition is scheduled to take place on June 22 - 26 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, USA. The strategic importance of the triennial event for the international plastics business is expected to attract a wide range of exhibiting companies this year, including at least 600 firms coming directly from outside the United States; nearly all of the major multinational suppliers of plastics equipment and raw materials; and the largest number of U.S. domestic suppliers of plastics technologies. At least one-fourth of those attending NPE2009 are expected to come from outside the U.S. Represented at the show are virtually all of the world誷 major suppliers of primary processing and auxiliary equipment; resins, compounds and services. There will also be extensive exhibitor representation in many other technological and commercial categories. Innovations in automotive and medical/health sectors At NPE2009, automotive industry professionals will discover a wealth of technologies, according to The Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc. (SPI), organizer of the NPE. The show will be far broader in scope than any previous NPE to provide more technological content of value to the automotive industry, noted Gene Sanders, SPI's vice president of trade shows. Hundreds of exhibiting companies will showcase new and established plastics technologies. New processing and material technologies will enable component manufacturers to cut costs or increase productivity through parts consolidation, energy efficiency, and other improvements. Also, new molding techniques incorporating advanced polymers will be presented. One source of such technology at NPE2009 will be exhibitor Sabic Innovative Plastics. The focus on automobile stems from the fact that today's manufacturers recognize that one way forward from today's difficult times is to develop new vehicles that compete effectively by consuming less fossil fuel, using more renewable resources, and reducing the impact of vehicles on the environment. Medical-device and healthcare-product professionals attending NPE2009 will view a wide range of co-located conferences, expositions, and other programs. The expanded NPE2009 program provides more medical-related solutions and innovations than ever before. This multifaceted event will be an abundant source of polymer technologies for professionals. The Emerging Technologies Pavilion will be organized around four critical developments: sustainability, bioplastics, nanotechnology, and energy are expected to attract visitor誷 interest. More side events to benefit professionals Here are some of the other events and programs taking place during NPE2009: ANTEC 2009, the world's largest plastics technical conference, will have a multi-paper session dedicated to automotive applications, as well as sessions on bioplastics, blow molding, etc. Produced by the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE), ANTEC each year presents around 700 original, peer-reviewed technical presentations. "The Business of Plastics." More than 90 presentations are scheduled for this educational program, which SPI has organized to address marketing, human capital management, and other matters of strategic importance to business management. International Plastics Design Competition (IPDC). This first global version of a longtime SPI event will include an award category for automotive applications, plus categories for use of emerging technologies and for advances in sustainability. MoldMaking Expo Trade Show and Conference. The educational program will include technicalNike Paul George PG3
