Hi-tech machinery in a world of opportunities

Backed by the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) and scheduled to coincide with the business cycle in May, INTERMACH joins forces with SUBCON THAILAND - the only exhibition for the subcontracting industry in Thailand. After 25 years as South East Asia's No.1 high-tech machinery exhibition, INTERMACH has grown beyond expectations. The 26th edition will be held on May 13 - 17, 2009 and is expected to be at par if not surpass the 2008's record of 4.2 billion Baht worth of transactions. Over 35,000 local and foreign exhibitors were in attendance last year making the two events an ideal platform for the establishment of new business partnerships to support the Thai economy. In 2008, the five-day event saw visitors and exhibitors from 45 countries including Australia, Belgium, Cambodia, China, Congo, Czech Republic, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Ghana, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, among others. With over 20,000 members SUBCON THAILAND is now set to become a major ASEAN regional event. The goal is to help promote Thailand as the automotive parts hub of the region. Over 32,106 SUBCON members visited BITEC and together with INTERMACH 2008 the two powerful shows combined to produce a very dynamic exhibition. Mr Chanin Kaochan, head of the BOI Unit for industrial Linkage Development (BUILD), said that "Subcon Thailand contributed to the potential Thai subcontractors and helped them engage in businesses with major companies." This is particularly true for the automobile and eco-car industries where six subcontractors have already been approved investment promotion. Demand for parts is estimated at the total value of 140,000 million Baht. The Deputy Permanent Secretary of Industry, Mr Damri Sukhotanang, noted that INTERMACH is "one of the most important industrial machinery exhibitions in Asia today," and this powerful combination can only get better as the needs of suppliers and manufacturers increase.Nike Air Jordan 1 Mens
