FOLLOWING a massive expansion drive in the UAE, Dunkin'' Donuts, the largest coffee and baked goods chain in the emirate, has embarked on a nationwide marketing blitz to drive home the message that its freshly made coffee and doughnuts fuels the unprecedented development of the country . "The massive popularity of the Dunkin'' Donuts brand in the UAE necessitated an expansion drive in the UAE to cope with demand. We can now lay claim, as the country''s favourite pick me up in the morning to having contr ibuted in no small measure to the UAE''s development," said general manager David Rodgers. "Our expansion plan in the UAE will see the number of our outlets increase to 60 in the next couple of months." To support Dunkin'' Donuts expansion drive, a new state - of - theart $5 - million commercial kitchen in Sharjah was opened recently. The kitchen produces from 35,000 to 40,000 multi - coloured doughnuts each day and these are delivered fresh to 115 points across the country. The kitchen includes a warehouse for storing the flour and mix, a kitchen for preparing and baking the doughnuts.
