ProPak Vietnam to present new products in 4 leading sectors

Launched in 2003 to serve the expanding Vietnamese food, drink and pharmaceutical processing and packaging industry, the show brings a myriad of latest technologies and solutions from the global market right to where it is highly sought after.

Last year ProPak Vietnam attracted 6,937 trade visitors from 28 countries with over 38% from senior-level management, and from visitor surveys conducted onsite over 86% stated they are looking to buy new machines and services increasing their levels of investment over the next 12 months and 99% visitors confirmed to return to ProPak Vietnam 2016.

With high quality and high quantity trade buyer feedback consistently received, ProPak Vietnam 2016 will once again be a leading event in Vietnam’s fast-growing sectors.  

The exhibition is scheduled to be held on 1 - 3 March, 2016 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC). It is organised by Singapore Exhibition Services (SES), a member of Allworld Exhibitions Alliance, a global network with over 50 offices worldwide. VCCI Exhibition Service Co., Ltd. is SES’s local partner in Vietnam and is one of the leading organisers of trade shows and promotional activities in Vietnam. Strong international participation
Propak Vietnam is expected to have a strong international participation to exceed the previous edition. With eight international group pavilions and 230 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions, the international representation at ProPak Vietnam 2015 brought under one roof a host of major processing and packaging machinery, technologies and solution companies displaying a wide range of high quality products. Considered as the leading exhibition of its kind in Vietnam, ProPak Vietnam 2015 attracted seven biggest technology exporting countries for packaging equipment - Germany, Korea (2 groups), Italy, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and Singapore. As one of Vietnam’s top investors, Taiwan had the highest exhibitor participation having created a burgeoning market for Taiwanese manufacturing solution providers. In the recent years, Taiwanese conglomerates have set up multiple manufacturing facilities in Vietnam.

In 2014, Taiwan has ranked fourth in the top highest foreign direct investment to Vietnam, just after Korea, Japan and Singapore (according to the statistics of the first 11 months of 2014). Taiwan contributed about $28.4 billion to the foreign direct investment in Vietnam with more than 2,300 projects in total. In these, the investment for processing and manufacturing industry accounted for one of the biggest parts with more than $23 billion invested in more than 1,800 projects.

Taiwan is now one of the major processing and packaging machinery exporters to emerging markets such as China, India and Vietnam as well as the developed markets: Japan and the US. As a reflection of the strong presence of Taiwanese manufacturers in Vietnam, the number of Taiwanese exhibitors at ProPak Vietnam 2015 accounted for an important part of the exhibition.

Addressing the current issues in Vietnam, several seminars are scheduled focusing on manufacturing and packaging of food and beverage as well as pharmaceutical products. The 2016 edition will continue to have safety and sustainability as key issues that will be addressed by the seminars.
