Digital tool management with integrated tool measurement

Successful smart factories are always defined by an efficient use of resources – from operating resources and tool components to specific production planning. The long-standing cooperation partners KELCH and MySolutions AG are now demonstrating how fully networked tool management works, and what options this offers for smart factories overall. The perfectly coordinated use of MySolutions MyXPert ToolManager software with the KELCH KENOVA set line V3 and KENOVA set line V9-S tool presetters optimises production in the long term without the need to redesign existing processes.

Companies obtain immediate process reliability from the get-go with the introduction of MySolutions MyXPert tool management software. The software can be used to digitally manage all the necessary operating resources and tools, providing a reliable basis for deployment planning even in lean production. The core competencies of the cooperation partners are clearly regulated if KELCH tool presetters and precision tools are used at the same time as MySolutions resource management software. As with all KELCH INDUSTRIAL and PREMIUM Line tool presetters, the KENOVA set line V3 and the KENOVA set line V9-S can be fully integrated into the hardware and software of automation processes.

Seamless integration of third-party systems

The software database modules can be extended and integrated using the MyXPert framework depending on the type of application. In conjunction with the MyXPert Terminal acting as a versatile and modular shop floor management system, production personnel will receive all production-relevant information on all operating resources (products, tools, equipment, measuring/test equipment etc.) on a central user interface directly at the machine. It is possible to visualise data and information and, if necessary, send it directly back to third-party systems: the framework provides for the seamless integration of third-party systems, such as CNC machines, manual and automated storage systems, and more. This guarantees the optimised use of all resources in the production process, including tool set-up and tool preparation. The MySolutions modular THE BOX concept for automatic warehouse management offers an innovative addition: The vertical storage system is designed for the weight-independent storage of small and mid-sized products, and optimises the use of floor space in the storage area.

Close collaboration between the cooperation partners ensures in-depth integration of the tool database and the tool presetter software. Companies thus benefit from the direct integration of the required modules and so from a uniform data structure and user interface. According to the companies, further developments are already in the pipeline, which will enhance the portfolio with additional quality assurance instruments.
