ENGEL debuts remote assistance service in SE Asia

ENGEL Machinery (Thailand) Ltd.'s booth at InterPlas Thailand 2022 highlights innovative solutions to enable responsible use of plastics and sustainable recycling economy.  

As Aram Tongurai, Managing Director of ENGEL Machinery (Thailand) Ltd., explains in this video, ENGEL is showcasing its digital solutions to meet the requirements of its customers from different industries such as automotive, packaging, medical, etc. 

The company also introduces the ENGEL e-connect.expert view, the Remote Assistance Service with Augmented Reality, for the first time in ASEAN. This aims to help industrialists solve their service issues more quickly and it can work easily with a smartphone, tablet, or smart glasses.

Southeast Asia remains an important market for ENGEL. “Currently, Thailand's plastics industry is experiencing a slight slowdown due to the impact of the Covid-19 and inflation which have affected investment in industries. While the automotive sector is still below production capacity, we anticipate rebound in some industries such as packaging and medical products. In particular, the medical sector is poised for growth as the government of Thailand is promoting Thailand as medical hub in Asia,” according to Mr. Tongurai.
