Groundbreaking ingredients shaping tomorrow's beauty and personal care industry

This year, in-Cosmetics Asia pushed the boundaries in beauty and personal care, with 650 global ingredient suppliers, manufacturers, and beauty brands in attendance. The event opened its doors to nearly 20,000 trade visitors from November 5-7 at BITEC in Bangkok, to showcase top-of-the-line, science-based skincare, haircare, and cosmetic formulations.

 

Often the most exciting highlight of the show, the Innovation Zone celebrates the most advanced and impactful ingredient developments launched in 2024. The Innovation Zone Awards recognizes products/ingredients that excel in creativity, scientific rigor, and functional effectiveness – offering attendees a firsthand look at emerging trends and transformative technologies in cosmetics.

 

The Innovation Zone Awards recognizes six outstanding contributions across two categories: Best Active Ingredient and Best Functional Ingredient, with each category awarded the Gold, Silver and Bronze honors to the most exemplary entries. Some 100 products vied for the awards.

 

Best Active Ingredient category

In the Best Active Ingredient category, Neuroglow™ by Givaudan Active Beauty took home the gold for its sun-mimicking, tan-enhancing properties; Baolift™ by Vytrus Biotech won silver for its firming and toning effects inspired by exercise; and Pantodium Cica seaweed extract by CODIF TN earned bronze for its bio-fermented, skin-soothing properties.

 

In the Best Functional Ingredient category, Pickmulse™ by Lucas Meyer Cosmetics secured the Gold for its quinoa-based emulsifying properties that enhance sensory experience and product stability; Winsol by Wilmar received the Silver for its eco-friendly, plant-based SPF boosting technology; and Dynasan® CrystalControl L by IOI Oleo was awarded Bronze for its solid lipid technology that enhances product stability and long-lasting moisturization.

 

Gold Award

Neuroglow™ by Givaudan Active Beauty is an innovative botanical active ingredient derived from Persicaria tinctoria, commonly known as the indigo plant.
