Probiotics increasingly used in skincare products

GreyViews offers a new report on the probiotics food and cosmetics market. According to the report, the market is expected to grow from USD63 billion in 2022 to USD 110.6 billion in 2030.

In cosmetics, the growing acceptability of probiotics as a nutritional supplement and therapeutic ingredient is driving market expansion. Probiotic cosmetic products are said to help in skin problems such as acne, rosacea, eczema, and chronic inflammation in all skin types.

Furthermore, as customers become more mindful of their physical appearance and skincare routine, they are prepared to spend a premium for product ingredients that have been proven to function for skin nourishment.

Hair care fastest growing segment

The hair care segment is expected to be the fastest-growing segment in 2022, according to GreyViews. Concerns about hair quality, rough scalp, and hair loss are increasing in tandem with segment expansion. Hair dyes, hair serums, and similar products are used to remedy these problems. Product introductions have been a significant contributor to segment growth. Tela Beauty Organics by Philip Pelusi, for example, introduced Probiotic scalp scrub in June 2019, as part of the Life Force Probiotic Haircare Collection. This scrub is used as a pre-shampoo treatment and has a probiotic blending system.
