THK embarks in new business areas, utilizing AI and robots and services that support rapid adoption of IoT in manufacturing.

THK hailed the success of its presence at Thailand’s mega event Manufacturing Expo where InterPlas Thailand is a concurrent exhibition. THK" stands for "Toughness," "High Quality" and "Know-how". It focuses on these three principles in the development of its technology and production processes.

The Japanese-headquartered company was the first in the world to develop the linear motion (LM) system, which is based on an original concept and innovative technology. Today, linear motion systems have been adopted for a variety of industrial applications as machine components vital to the mechatronics sector. By utilizing rolling motion to produce linear motion in machinery, linear motion systems made it possible to design equipment that is high-precision, high-speed, labor-saving and eco-friendly because of the improved efficiency. All of THK’s technologies infuse every type of mechanism with smoother and more accurate movement.

THK supports customers in general industrial machinery, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, automobiles production, machine tools and industrial robots, among others.

“THK in Thailand is represented by THK Rhythm (Thailand) Co., LTD., with office in Bangkok where we serve customers in this region,” according to Nantawan Pharakarn, Assistant Sales Manager of THK Rhythm (Thailand) Co., LTD.

THK has been exhibiting at Manufacturing Expo each year and Thailand is considered a growing market especially in factory automation and automotive industry segments. “We have one factory in Thailand supporting automotive parts production and robots as these are growing industries in this country,” Ms. Pharakarn explained.
