MOU VF_EDF.jpgVinFast, the Vietnamese-based car manufacturer, announces the signing by its French subsidiary, VinFast France, of a cooperation agreement (memorandum of understanding) with the EDF group. With this agreement, the two groups are launching joint discussions around electric mobility offers, including the installation and operation of charging infrastructure for their customers who own electric vehicles, whether private or professional, as well as in VinFast showrooms in France. The agreement also covers work relating to specific offers such as the roaming charging pass and the supply of electricity to customers of Vinfast and the EDF group. The signing took place in the presence of the Vietnamese Prime Minister, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh, on his return from COP 26. This event represents an important step in the manufacturer's global expansion plan.

After confirming its participation in the Los Angeles Auto Show where the manufacturer will unveil its 100% electric SUVs VF e35 for the D segment, and VF e36 for the E segment, VinFast is pleased to announce an agreement with EDF, a leading company in the field of electro-mobility in France and internationally. This is a strong signal from the brand confirming its commitment to become a major player in tomorrow's mobility through strategic investments, pioneering research and development activities and global collaborations with automotive leaders and innovative start-ups associated with VinFast and Vingroup. This event supports the global launch of the VinFast brand with its 100% electric vehicles and smart, environmentally friendly electromobility solutions designed and developed within the Vingroup technology ecosystem.

Ms. Bich Tran, CEO of VinFast Europe, said, "Our goal is to offer high-end electric vehicles with a high level of quality, durability and safety through extensive investments and market research. Today, thanks to this agreement with EDF, we will ensure that we can provide the most demanding customers with optimal support and dedicated services. At the same time, this alliance highlights the accuracy of VinFast's positioning and the recognition of our expertise by the EDF Group. It also confirms our commitment to the global transition to smart electric mobility."

Olivier Dubois, Director of the Electric Mobility Department, EDF, specifies, "We are convinced that electric mobility involves the mobilization of an entire ecosystem, an ecosystem that is now joined by VinFast. For EDF, being alongside VinFast is a strong sign that encourages the sustained deployment of low-carbon mobility in France and in Europe for everyone. The work that is being undertaken between the two partners will make it possible to meet the expectations of our customers by sending them charging offers and associated services in line with their needs."
