GIVAUDAN has recently named Chris Thoen to lead Global Science and Technology, and Willem Mutsaerts of Global Procurement. Both heads will be members of the Executive Committee.
Chris Thoen
Mr Thoen will take charge of long-term innovation strategy, leverage internal and external capabilities across Flavours and Fragrances, expand the network of strategic partners and establish a culture of open innovation. Prior to his new role, he was head of Science and Technology for Flavours. He joined Givaudan from P&G in 2011.
Willem Mutsaerts
The new role for Mr Mutsaerts will focus on development of sourcing strategies in the areas of biotransformation, further enhance Givaudan’s responsible sourcing program, secure the long-term supply of critical raw materials, and foster partnerships with suppliers. Since 1989, Mr Mutsaerts has worked with Givaudan in commercial positions in Benelux and later in the APAC region, where he was subsequently responsible for Global Purchasing for Fragrances. In 2001, he took commercial responsibility for Fragrance consumer products in the EAME region, before becoming Head of Global Operations Fragrances in 2007.
