Battenfeld (Foshan) has introduced two large-diameter polyethylene pipe lines, one for maximum pipe diameter of 1200 mm and the other for 800 mm. Thanks to its high-performance drive system, the optimized grooved feed bush and the barrier screw which is essential for excellent plastification of polyolefin, the extruder is able to constantly deliver homogeneous melt at an output rate of up to 1500 kg per hour. A 10-caterpillar haul-off is able to generate haul-off forces as high as 100 kN is employed to ensure consistent pulling.
