Beneo Asia-Pacific has new managing director

After eight years with Südzucker Group, Beneo’s parent company in Germany, Christian Philippsen moves back to Beneo Asia-Pacific in the capacity of managing director. For the new MD, it is a return to Southeast Asia where he began his early career with BENEO-Palatinit Singapore.

Working across several markets in Europe and Asia over the years, he has gained marketing experience, application and product concept expertise, and knowledge of market research and analysis. He graduated from the Ruprecht-Karls University in Heidelberg, Germany, with a Master’s degree in Economics.

Mr Philippsen said that Asia Pacific is a major market for the company, especially with the food and beverage industry increasingly favouring functional nutrition.  He looks forward to his new position and expects to continue enhancing the company’s presence by stressing Beneo’s line of functional fibres, functional carbohydrates, speciality rice ingredients, and wheat gluten. 

“This is a very exciting time to join the Asia Pacific team, as we are actively engaging the forward-thinking manufacturers in this region to promote optimal, scientifically-proven, healthier nutrition,” Mr Philippsen said.
