BENEO joins FINEST Food Programme

Singapore – BENEO, one of the world’s leaders in functional food ingredients, last week participated in a pioneering initiative organised by Singapore’s Health Promotion Board’s Centre of Excellence (Nutrition), in collaboration with SPRING Singapore, and Singapore Food Manufacturers Association.

The FINEST Food Programme aims to equip local food manufacturers with the knowledge and expertise to develop healthier, functional food products, which have the capacity to address many of the global health concerns also affecting Singapore, including obesity and diabetes. The programme presents a series of food seminars and hands-on workshops with the purpose of educating local food and beverage manufacturers on the incorporation of various functional ingredients and solutions. 

On Friday, 2 August, the company presented a seminar and workshop on weight-management applications, showcasing specific applications of Palatinose?, a low glycaemic carbohydrate, and BENEO’s prebiotic fibres, inulin and oligofructose, which can help people to eat less, for example.
