Borouge's CMU project on track

Borouge assures that its Compounding Manufacture Unit (CMU) project in Shanghai is on schedule with construction of CMU expected to be completed by the end of 2009, with operation to start in mid- 2010. Leveraging on the Borouge 2 project and the strong networks, Borouge is fast developing in the Chinese automotive value chain with a range of innovative plastics solutions provided from its CMU project. Demand in China automotive market is expected to grow over 10% annually in the next 5 years. Borouge is investing in three large scale logistics and distribution hubs in Guangzhou, Shanghai and Singapore with annual supply and distribute volume up to 246,000 t/y, 600,000 t/y and 330,000 t/y respectively.
