Cellro presents Xcelerate X20 | R-C2 | 6S: 6 side complete machining at METAV 2020

From 10 to 13 March 2020, the METAV will take place for the 40th time in Düsseldorf. Cellro (hall 4, stand D19) will present at the METAV the first universal solution for the automated milling of products in small series or even single pieces on 6 sides: Xcelerate X20 | R-C2 | 6S: 6 side complete machining! This new system saves machinists a lot of time and money because they can now mill parts on 6 sides 24 hours a day with a very compact solution. The ROI is only 1.5 years or less! The craftsman is relieved of repetitive work and can focus on the work where he can offer added value.

GRESSEL technology

GRESSEL AG recently introduced the new R-C2 gripper to the market. This innovation, developed by Cellro and GRESSEL together, is a gripper and clamp in one, developed for Xcelerate X20. The gripper takes the clamp with the product out of the tray and places it in and out of the machine. This eliminates the need for an automatic gripper changeover, making this system highly cost-effective for small series shredders and a wide variety of products. Cellro has integrated the R-C2 gripper in a new system with take-over station. This provides another 2 major advantages:

1. From the same drawer in Xcelerate, the machine can automatically load and unload a wide variety of products. Several small series but also single pieces (which are very different from each other) can easily be processed automatically.
2. Accurate take-over of products for six-sided machining. For this it is necessary that the processed products are clean. Thanks to the extra cleaning unit, the end product comes out of production liquid- and chip-free. The clamping adaptors also remain clean as a result. An additional advantage is that automatic clamping is carried out much more accurately than with manual clamping.

Previously, most automation processes used a certain number of clamps for a certain number of products (loading one product type per tray). Changing grip fingers and placing clamps in the machine often still had to be done manually (unless Fixture Exchange was used for an automatic clamping change). With this new system from Cellro, these manual operations are further removed from the production process. A large amount of small series with a high product diversity can now be automated even more fully.

Cellro Medical

Cellro has another first at METAV: she will be represented not with one, but with two stands. Also Cellro Medical, the business unit that was presented during the METAV press conference in the Netherlands, is present with a stand. On the Medical theme plaza (hall 1, stand A06) you can see what Cellro Medical can do for the medical sector with, among other things, its laser marking systems.
