Complete tool system for grooving, parting off

Walter is expanding its range of grooving inserts for the Walter Cut monoblock toolholder GX 16. Workpieces up to a diameter of 32 millimeters can be machined. Two insert geometries are available: CF6, the sharp one, and CE4, the universal one. The former is suitable for small to medium feeds with its sharp cutting edges and ensures controlled chip breaking from a feed of 0.03 millimeters. The CE4 has a peripherally sintered, chamfered cutting edge and due to its stable construction is suitable for medium and high feeds. Three insert widths (2, 2.5 and 3 millimeters) provide a wide range of applications as do the familiar Tiger.tec?coatings. The Walter Cut monoblock toolholder XLDE is available in four shank sizes: 10 x 10, 12 x 12, 16 x 16 and 20 x 20 millimeters.
