The 7th Dairy Asia Pacific Summit (DairyAP) 2020 will take place in Singapore from October 29-30. The event organised by Duxes is the leading annual platform for professionals engaged in the growing Asia Pacific dairy market and will offer a wide range of in-depth talks and discussions from industry experts, major companies, ingredients innovators and government regulators.
According to The Human Development Report, Asia and the Pacific will be home to nearly 5 billion people by 2050; meanwhile, the population in the region has tripled over the past 65 years. Changing diets, demographic shifts and rapid advances in technology have led to the proliferation of different types of dairy products, prompting Asian consumers in both traditional and non-traditional milk-consuming countries to include more milk in their diets.
Against this background, experts as well as business leaders will share an analysis of the latest regulatory dynamics and regional consumer and market trends, during the two-day Summit. Attendees will also be able to share their valued experiences and opinions on the many challenges and opportunities within the Asia-Pacific dairy industry.
Key industry issues that deserve attention will be addressed, including: market access, regulatory updates and official policies, analysis of the latest innovations in liquid milk, infant formula, fermented milk, functional dairy, and special ingredients like probiotics. Successful commercialization case studies will be discussed alongside further topics such as sustainability, new packaging materials, latest farming approaches, the developments of plant-based food and opportunities in emerging dairy alternatives.
The event will gather experts and other stakeholders from China, Singapore, New Zealand, Japan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia and other jurisdictions to share the latest research findings, policy developments and viable business models. Past contributors have included the Singapore Food Agency; the Indonesian Food and Beverage Association; Vietnam Dairy Association; Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Thailand; and, representatives from companies such as Yili, Nestle, Fonterra, a2, Mengniu, FrieslandCampina, Arla Foods, and more.
