Dow Packaging and Specialty Plastics, in partnership with Ringier Events, is holding a webinar on July 1 (10-11 a.m. SGT). This online event is part of the series of webinars organized by Dow to introduce its new breed of materials that aim to meet the growing demand for sustainable packaging.
The webinar includes the presentations of two packaging experts from Dow Packaging and Specialty Plastics. These speakers will provide an overview on Dow’s latest solution to sustainable packaging - INNATE™ TF Polyethylene Resin for Tender Frame Biaxial Orientation (TF-BOPE). The new TF-BOPE resin is part of Dow’s commitment to “close the loop” by 2035 where 100% of Dow products applied for packaging will be reusable or recyclable.
INNATE™ TF-BOPE resins is a revolutionary addition to Dow’s portfolio, and has been breaking through the sustainability limits of traditional PE formulations to create all-PE structures that can replace BOPA and other non-recyclable polymers. Ideal for the packaging sector, this solution combines sustainability with performance. With INNATE™ TF-BOPE resins, less material is used to make the packaging that can stand up to abuse and looks good on the shelf.
Dow earlier announced an aggressive step forward with its new commitments to address both climate change and plastic waste on its path toward becoming the most innovative, customer-centric, inclusive and sustainable materials science company in the world. The commitments include reduction in its net annual carbon emissions by 5 million tons by 2030 and becoming carbon neutral by 2050. Another commitment is that by 2030, Dow will help “stop the waste” by enabling 1 million metric tons of plastic to be collected, reused or recycled through its direct actions and partnerships.
For the webinar, the agenda will include the presentation by Dr. Yee Wu Aik, Senior Technical Service & Development (TS&D) Specialist for Asia Pacific and Mr. Jason Yew, Market Development Manager for SEA / ANZ.
The webinar is open to brand owners, film/laminate converters, packaging manufacturers, OEMs and industry associations and professionals.
