DSM will demonstrate some of its flexible food packaging solutions currently used in the latest application innovations at the NPE, which will be held from March 23 to 27 in Orlando, Florida.
At NPE, DSM will also conduct speaker presentations at SPI’s Business of Plastics and ANTEC@NPE, and in its Customer Service Center in the West Hall, Room 225A.
DSM has recently made a breakthrough in polyamide blown film processing with the Akulon XS. Featuring improved crystallization properties, the thin film solution has an extended processing window, which allows for more opportunities in designing co-extruded multilayer and monolayer film structures.
The company’s Akulon polyamide 6 and Arnitel thermoplastic copolyester for thin film flexible food packaging solutions help customers address the rapidly changing requirements of food packaging. These products also meet the demand for food safety and reduced food and packaging waste.
The global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company has also announced plans to build a new plant in North America for high viscosity Akulon polyamide 6 grades for film and other extrusion applications.
