Enhancing customers' capability through improved injection moulding machines

IRNE: FCS has been an international plastics injection moulding machinery manufacturer since 1974. What major developments in the company''s operations took place since then that helped contribute to its present position today? Chuang: The major reason is that FCS always tries to satisfy customers'' need. For the past years, the plastic parts moulding industry experienced different stages. At first, customers needed only a regular machine to produce their products. Then, the customers received many orders from consumer electronics companies and these orders were requests for high quality and high precision moulding parts. So the OEM companies also have to meet such requirements. Recently, the plastic parts moulding companies targeted to increase their efficiency and they began to combine multi systems to produce what they need. More often these producers hoped that one supplier can provide such combination for them. In this aspect, the turnkey solution provider becomes important to them. FCS experienced these changes. For every situation, FCS always tried to satisfy customers'' needs. We put a lot of energy to develop solutions for customers. We now have many different series of machines to satisfy different needs. And we also positioned FCS as a turnkey solutions provider. These are the real reasons why FCS is now in this current position. Chuang: The first step of meeting the demands of our market is to know what our target market needs. FCS has a strong management team capable of doing this. By collecting the feedback from our customers and through research of the market, our managers will define what features are needed by the customers and what will become their needs in the future. With our rich experience and knowledge, FCS will put such information as input in developing the right product for our customers. This has enabled us to meet the demand of our customers for excellent product performance and cost-efficiency. IRNE: Are there evolving trends in these industries that have been affecting your company''s business directions? Chuang: We serve all companies in need of plastic products moulding services. In this regard, our business roadmap will be affected by our customers. For example, for the past years, auto- parts and consumer electronics were very popular. Our customers worked hard to provide related products for the two industries. And FCS also had to develop related technology for customers and to help them in turning out such products efficiently. After the onset of the economic crisis last year, household appliance and medical parts became the most popular products. FCS also followed the trend and tried to satisfy the customers'' needs for moulding plastic parts. But no matter what our customers need, FCS will always try to provide the best solutions for them.
