EOS highlights AM portfolio at TCT Asia + Personalize

GLOBAL leader for high-end Additive Manufacturing (AM) solutions EOS highlighted its latest AM solutions at the inaugural run of TCT Asia + Personalize in Shanghai last March 12 to 14. 

 

 

The company presented its latest Polymer system EOS P 396 and Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) systems EOS M 290 and EOS M 400. The products support AM shift from Rapid Prototyping towards true production technology.

 

EOS has an installed base of 93 AM systems in China that tripled over the last four years, according to Greater China regional manager Jack Wu. He said, “Over the last few years we have experienced a strong growth in the industrial Additive Manufacturing sector and expect this trend to continue in the future.”  

 

More China manufacturers are acknowledging the capabilities of AM as a true alternative to conventional manufacturing processes. 

 

“They begin to acknowledge the benefits the technology can bring to their business and their competitiveness through innovative design and manufacturing solutions and e.g. the impressive cost reductions it enables. In China, aerospace applications are currently the key drivers for AM, followed by applications from the medical and tooling sector," Mr. Wu further stated.
