I NDOPLAS, Indonesia's premier exhibition for the plastics and rubber industries will take place from 11 to 14 April 2012 at the Jakarta international Expo. As Indonesia's leading plastics and rubber exhibition, INDOPLAS will introduce the latest cutting-edge processing solutions and technologies targeted at the country's fast-growing industrial sector.
INDOPACK, INDOPRINT and INDOPLAS will co-locate in one show this year, in response to the growing demand from potential exhibitors, as well as from industry associations that have signified their interest to support the event. Co-organised by Messe Düsseldorf Asia and WAKENI (PT Wahana Kemalaniaga Makmur), the three exhibitions will offer a high-quality platform for exhibitors and industry partners to present latest technologies on machinery, processing solutions, equipment and services.
According to Indonesian-based trade show organiser – WAKENI, Indonesian companies are keen to showcase to a more global audience now particularly with the booming manufacturing sector. The successful editions of the three exhibitions over the last decade have seen dramatic increase in exhibitors participation, alongside a growing manufacturing and industrial sector and expanding Indonesian economy.
"We have received numerous enquiries and support for the internationalisation of the shows from both past and potential exhibitors, locally and overseas. There has also been increasing interest and demand from within the ASEAN region, a clear indication of Indonesia's growth markets in these sectors," said Rini Sumardi, Director of WAKENI. "The exhibitions are also strongly supported by Kementerian Perindustrian (Ministry for Industry) Republic of Indonesia, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, German-Indonesian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and other relevant Indonesian bodies," she added.
Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf Asia, Gernot Ringling, said the highly positive feedback received from potential exhibitors and industry associations have shown a keen interest in doing business in Indonesia as it is also a strategic springboard to other ASEAN countries. "There is certainly a growing interest in the Indonesian market which is manifested in the support from one of the world's most important industrial associations; VDMA – German Engineering Federation, and their plastics and rubber machinery, food procession and packaging machinery and printing and paper equipment and supplies divisions, and the timing of the exhibitions in 2012 could not be at a more opportune moment."
"We are taking a major step forward by taking these exhibitions that are well-established and highly successful events onto a global platform," he added. Ringling believes that with strong participation by international companies from all sectors of the plastics, packaging and printing industries this will also make it possible to "showcase more new and emerging technologies that will provide a catalyst to further boost the industries in Indonesia."
"With interest from potential exhibitors already gaining momentum, we are confident that this three-in-one format will attract more exhibiting companies and visitors and boost recognition of INDOPACK, INDOPRINT and INDOPLAS as one of ASEAN's leading destinations for plastics, packaging and printing solutions," said Ringling.
