Henkel recognises strategic partner Wanhua

Henkel Adhesive Technologies has awarded the performance of its strategic partner Wanhua, a world-class global player in polyurethanes, with its annual Supplier Award for Innovation. With this recognition, the business unit honours the close and successful collaboration across its value chains. Based in Yantai, China, Wanhua was the first ever Chinese company to win a Henkel Adhesive Technologies Supplier Award in the innovation category.

The Innovation Award for Wanhua was granted for collaboration based on open exchange and early access to innovations that resulted in the largest pipeline of running innovation projects across Henkel Adhesive Technologies worldwide. Based on innovation solutions of Wanhua, Henkel was able to launch several new products in the sports and fashion markets and for packaging applications. Wanhua was recognised for its creativity, agility and customer focus, which are proven also by regular digital learning sessions for Henkel’s innovation teams.

In addition to its commitment and performance in innovation, Wanhua is also a key partner for Henkel in promoting sustainability in industry in China. Being the first Chinese company to join Together for Sustainability, a flagship initiative launched by Henkel globally to drive sustainability across the entire value chain, spanning from our customers and consumers to our suppliers, stakeholders, and communities, Wanhua adheres to the path of sustainable development, highlighting the determination to strengthen corporate social responsibility and the ability to promote a sustainable global supply chain. In 2016, Wanhua was awarded by Henkel Adhesive Technologies in excellence performance category.
