Global technology leader in polyethylene, Dow will hold a virtual conference highlighting the benefits of its new co-efficient of friction (COF) Stable Resin, scheduled on 14 October 2020, from 1-2PM SGP Time (GMT+8).

The event, Improve Packaging Efficiency with Dow's New COF Stable Resin hosted by Dow in cooperation with Ringier Events, is an opportunity for food and beverage brand owners, film/laminate converters, packaging/plastics organizations and industry associations, and OEMS, to understand the technology behind Dow's latest innovation in overcoming setbacks related to COF.

Unstable COF in lamination films is well known to cause delays and film breakages. To address this prevalent issue in the flexible packaging industry, Dow has created a COF stable resin.

This resin provides stable COF of lamination films in both PE and PET layers, throughout the entire process of lamination, curing, storage and transportation. It offers higher efficiency on fast speed packaging lines by minimizing film breakages and interruptions. The COF stable resin also features excellent optical and sealing properties.

She has more than 15 years of experience in the technical field for Polyolefins.  She has been with Dow for more than four years and she currently oversees projects with brand owners to develop sustainable packaging solutions.

In her presentation, Mei Yen will discuss the challenges in managing COF in Southeast Asia; COF migration issues and how it affects downstream production processes; and how Dow's innovative new resin allows convertors to manage their COF.
