Mettler Toledo unveils scanning calorimeter

A MODULAR design sets the DSC 2 differential scanning calorimeter apart, making it favourable for manual or automatic operation, as well as further expansion. The new model is part of the Thermal Analysis Excellence line of Mettler Toledo. Its sensitivity is heightened by the FRS6, a DSC sensor with 120 thermocouples. This provides better results, reproducibility, as well as accurate measurements even of difficult samples. Users don’t have to fuss over which calibration to use after each experiment, because the DSC 2 comes with the FlexCal technology which applies the ideal calibration data to match the measurement parameters.

Operation is driven by the 13.0 STARe Thermal Analysis software with single frequency modulated temperature technique, Alternating DSC (ADSC), which gives the model programming and evaluation options, as well as heat capacity determination and separation of overlapping effects.
