From sustainability to packaging design, ProPak Asia 2020 adds new relevant zones and features

Although being held later than usual, ProPak Asia 2020 is also worth the wait. The region’s biggest exhibition for processing and packaging for the food, drink, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and consumer products, has added new features for visitor and exhibitors.

First as a Hybrid Event, ProPak Asia now has the capability to reach more buyers at BITEC from 20-23 October, as well as online from 19-25 October at https://www.propakasia.com/ppka/2020/en/virtual_exhibition.asp.

Participants with booths at BITEC can showcase their products and talk business virtually with clients. The Hybrid Pavilion in Hall 101 has been dedicated to networking specially with leading international companies for the entire four days.

With more companies working at their sustainability plans and targets as a standard, expectations are high especially for those in the packaging sector due to the impact of waste on the environment, as well as waste generated by processors and consumers. To address the issue more extensively, ProPak Asia set up the Sustainability Square, an interactive Zone where visitors and exhibitors can be updated on issues, insights and trends on sustainability within the packaging and processing sectors. In this space, they can check out the Sustainable Development Goals Corner. Even the ProPak event itself is committed to sustainability. One of the features is the “ProPak Asia Ditch the plastic bag and plastic bottles, Find Water filling stations and recycle bags.”

The SME Zone designed by ProPak Asia is a place where companies can meet experts from government and private sector for consultation.

The Idea Theatre is the inspiration zone. The space is where invited start-up entrepreneurs will share their success stories and encourage others to start their own brands. All presentations will be conducted in Thai language.

The Thai Star Packaging Awards at Hall 103 is a project of the Department of Promotion and the private sector that aims to stimulate creative thinking in packaging design. Packaging designs submission will be on display.
