Omani company invests in a second Sidel Matrix

BOTTLED water producer Barzman National LLC has invested in a second complete production line from Sidel. The Oman-based company said it tripled its capacity after the installation of the first line in March 2014.  It is making room for a Sidel Matrix™ Combi10, which is a combination of blowing, filling, and capping.

The Sidel line has the ability to package lightweight bottles at high speeds. The Combi10 line will be producing water in different sizes.

In Oman, water is the second most consumed drink next to carbonated soft drinks. Local consumption of water in 2014 was estimated at 238.1 million liters, and annual growth rate in the next five years is at 6.6%.

“The global beverage industry is currently valued at USD 1.3 trillion, and the global demand for PET is expected to grow to around 20 million tons by 2019.
