Plastindia 2009 sees 20% growth with 1,400 exhibitors

PLASTINDIA 2009, the 7th International Plastics Exhibition & Conference orgnised by PlastIndia Foundation is receiving overwhelming response from exhibitors all around the world including India. This 6-day mega event will take place from 4-9 February at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India. Says Mr Arvind Mehta, President of PLASTINDIA Foundation, the organizing body of the event and the apex body presenting India誷 plastic industry, said that online booking for the exhibition has been a sellout. Indian plastic industry, which is fundamentally very strong, today sees the plastic consumption of 6 kg, as against the world average of 27 kg. Compared to Plastindia 2006, the 2009 edition will see 20% more of an area for exhibitors as over 77,000 sq. m. Has been set aside. With 25 halls & 15 hangars, Plastindia 2009 will attract around 1,400 exhibitors including 400 overseas exhibitors and 1,000 Indian exhibitors. Nearly 100,000 business visitors including 10,000 overseas visitors from 35 countries will be present. There are about 20 "country pavilions" at Plastindia 2009. AC Nielsen-ORG Marg has ranked this triennial expo at par with any other international fairs and now the second best plastics fair in the world.
