Rapid Granulator acquires Avian Machinery

Rapid Granulator AB, the Swedish-based leader in plastics granulation and technology, and part of the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, based IPEG, announced that it has acquired Avian Machinery, the Shanghai-based manufacturer of granulator and recycling systems. The new investment reflects a significant step forward in Rapid's Asian capabilities, giving the company access to a well established Chinese and Asian distribution network, as well as significantly expanding its local manufacturing and assembly capabilities. As part of the agreement, Rapid will relocate its operations to Avian's 50,000 sq. m facility located in Shanghai, China.
