Sidel opens tech-savvy training centre in Mexico

SIDEL Services expands further its network of global training centres with the opening of an advanced facility in Guadalajara, Mexico.

The first in Latin America, the centre was developed for local customers’ training needs. Sidel undertook market research and gathered feedback from many different beverage producers before setting up the facility. This reaffirms the company’s commitment to understanding the specific needs of beverage producers in a given region to be able to identify the corresponding training needed. The facility has, in fact, welcomed representatives from beverage producers across Latin America.

Training is enhanced by use of virtual technologies and by simulating trainees' workplace

The training centre boasts the latest training technologies and uses a modular approach. Current trends in virtual technology enable a recreation of the customers' plant to simulate the trainees’ workplace and allow them to work in their familiar environment. The customised training sessions enable trainees to use authentic parts for assembling and disassembling, together with functional key items of equipment such as valves. Trainees can also access filling, blowing and labelling stations.

The facility likewise features production line panels for control and command (PCC) simulators to develop trainees’ troubleshooting skills. The latest 3D interactive modelling system enables trainees to disassemble in detail every piece of equipment in the entire Sidel portfolio.

Sidel’s latest training centre is staffed by professional training instructors with years of beverage industry experience. They tailor a programme to the trainees’ requirements using a mix of engaging methods and training options.
