Sidel VP calls Gulfood Manufacturing a networking event

CLIVE Smith, vice president for GMEA at Sidel–part of the privately held industrial group Tetra Laval –said that Gulfood was a fabulous show bringing together good quality, senior level customers on a single platform. According to Mr Smith, whilst Sidel did not consider the event a launchpad for new products and services since it keeps on innovating year round, it was a communication platform and a networking event which brought together customers and exhibitors locally and internationally for integration, growth and consolidation purposes.

Sidel, a leading global provider of PET solutions for liquid packaging, has 4,000 patents, eight dedicated research centers and recorded EUR 1,395 million in global net sales for 2013. The company operates its MEA headquarters from Dubai, UAE. It has 110 employees working in Dubai and intends to expand organically. However, no manufacturing facility is in the MENA region and remain in the US, Europe and China.
