Chocolate manufacturer Lotte invests in the latest molding technology for a premium offering FOUNDED in 1948, chocolate manufacturer Lotte Co. Ltd. is among one of the largest family-owned enterprises in the candy industry worldwide. The head office is located in Shinjuku, one of the busiest commercial districts of Tokyo. Since 1967 Lotte has also run a business in South Korea registered as the Lotte Confectionery Co., Ltd. The group also owns companies and factories in Thailand, the Philippines, China, India, Indonesia, Viet Nam, Russia and the United States. Lotte's first product label ?the Ghana Milk Chocolate ?was launched onto the market in 1964. At that time most of the Japanese chocolate manufacturers concentrated on products based on the mild American taste. In contrast to this the Ghana Milk Chocolate offers a rich Swiss milk taste with the characteristic soft melting. Even today, the Japanese 揝wiss Chocolate?is still one of the most popular milk chocolates in the high-quality section in Japan. While the Lotte Group has expanded into numerous other branches of industry like beverages, marketing and distribution, leisure, heavy chemicals, machinery, building construction, informatics and services, the company and the brand is still most well-known for its confectionery, especially chocolates. Today, Lotte is now in a position to even faster react to the changing market requirements thanks to its newly purchased Bühler Bindler shell molding line. One of Lotte's latest products is called “Charlotte? which is a thin square tablet of chocolate with cream filling. The shell chocolate contains a high proportion of cocoa. The filling is a chocolate cream and resembles a fine, handmade ganache chocolate. A new shell molding line The Lotte Company installed its new shell molding line for the manufacture of the quality product “Charlotte? In order to achieve a high level of line efficiency and maximum flexibility in production and local service, Lotte chose to use the multifunctional Bühler Bindler “ChocoStar?line with loose molds and standardized servo drive technology. With 34 independent drives for depositing heads, mold conveyors and cooling towers, the flexible line simplifies switching to alternative process cycles in combination with highest hygiene standards. A delicate chocolate Lotte demanded a thickness of less than 1 mm for the chocolate shell for Charlotte. The ultra-modern "CoolCore" cold stamping technology met this requirement. This system enables the manufacture of an extremely even shell thickness with enhanced shell gloss at a high production capacity. To ensure maximum precision, the high performance "Type PowerShot" depositing heads, with servo-controlled pistons serving individual nozzles, deposit just the right amount of chocolate. For the filling, fresh chocolate cream is carefully mixed with a high quality orange liqueur (Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge). This symphony of a rich cocoa taste and a plain fruity flavor convinces all chocolate enthusiasts with a fine bite and a harmonic taste. Counting on premium equipment Though the technical reliability of Bühler Bindler molding lines is well known to the company, the handling of this new project with the best possible support on site on part of the Bühler crew in Yokohama. Adherence to dates during installation, quality and high standards of hygiene throughout the entire line, the smooth commissioning process as well as the exemplary training of the operating personnel and the technical support after production turn-over have again confirmed that the decision to buy the shell molding line was the correct one. In addition to allowing Lotte to produce the high-quality Charlotte brand, the new molding line will also enables the company to more promptly react to the fast-moving Japanese market and to launch a new premium chocolate product ontNike Air Jordan 1 Mens
